Stitch Fix #6

I received my sixth stitch fix this week!

If you haven’t heard….

Stitch Fix is a personal styling service that sends you a package of clothes and accessories to try on at home. You keep what you like and send the rest back! All you have to do is sign-up on their website, fill out your style profile, and schedule your fix! The cost for each fix is $20, however that $20 then goes towards your purchase. If you keep everything in your box you get 25% off the entire order! You have three days to decide what you want to keep – anything you don’t keep can be sent back in a pre-paid envelope.

This fix was a little different from my past fixes because I have an event coming up which I need a new dress to attend! So I asked my stylist to send me several dresses to choose from and I would pick my favorite one to wear to the event.  This what she sent:

Item 1: Andrew Marc| Briana 3/4 Sleeve Belted Knit Dress $78

Stitch Fix #6

I like this dress! It was very comfy and I could see me getting lots of use out of it for work. However, I was shopping for my event – and this wasn’t exactly the look I was going for.  So I sent it back.

Item 2: Andrew Marc | Saiara Sleeveless Dress $128

I am not normally big on taking a photo of my back side!  But I wanted you to be able to see what the back of this dress looks like.  I added the skinny black belt – and please excuse my peek-a-boo bra straps! I was having issues with those all day!  Anyway – this dress.  I do like this dress! However it is made of fabric that wrinkles easily.  I can tell it would have those line creases across the lap from sitting in the car before I even made it to my event. That drives me a bit nuts.   Also the price was a bit more than I was looking to spend on a dress today.  So I sent it back.

Item 3: 41Hawthorn | Maci Lace Detailed Fit & Flare Dress $88
Stitch Fix #6

I love 41Hawthorn brand! I love fit and flare dresses.  I added the red belt.  This is exactly what I was looking for!!  I kept it!   My only concern was that it was a bit too dressy – that I wouldn’t be able to dress it down if I wanted to. My style card showed it paired with a denim jacket and sandals…so I tried that (see below). Not sure I am sold on that look.  Oh well – it’s still a super cute dress!

Item #4: Zad | Diandra Stone Double Layer Necklace $36
Stitch Fix #6

I thought this necklace was just OK.  I didn’t love it.  So I sent it back.

Item #5: Daniel Rainn | Paulina Graphic Print Lace Detail Blouse $68Stitch Fix #6Stitch Fix #6

I love this top! The lace detail is so cute! I paired it with jeans and then this pencil skirt – which I had worn to work that day!  Kept!

Overall I was happy with my fix! This was the first time I had asked to send me something specifically for an event that I was going to attend and it worked out great! I now have a great dress to wear and I didn’t even have to enter a shopping mall! Yeah! Stitch Fix I do love you for that.

My next fix is scheduled for next week and I can’t wait. I gave my stylist more specific information on what I’m looking for. I haven’t had the best luck with accessories. I love 41 Hawthorne too. Great choices, love the dress and top you kept! Janet
