Hello Monday! Hello December!
December – really? I feel like we were just out trick-or-treating yesterday. I have so many pictures to share with you today. With all the excitement of Thanksgiving around here, I missed Friday’s post here on the blog! So a lot of hellos for this Monday morning and 2nd day of December.
*Photos below are a combination of pictures from my iphone and my DSLR.
Hello to this sunset. I actually pulled over my car to take the photo with my phone. Do you ever do that? See something while you are driving and pull over to photograph it? I often think about it but rarely stop. I think I am going to stop more. There is something about enjoying the journey rather than trying to rush through it. That’s my deep thought for the day. :)
Hello to Our Iowa Magazine. I was so happy to find that another one of my photos was printed in Our Iowa Magazine! Page 24 of the Holiday Issue. A picture from last year’s hunt for a Christmas tree. One of my favorite pictures.
Hello to us at the Holiday parade last week. That was already a week ago? Time is moving fast.
Hello to a new refrigerator for us. Not exactly what we wanted to be purchasing right now. But our current fridge is having issues and we just need to do it.
Hello to Dimitri who cooked our turkey and some of the sides like a pro for Thanksgiving dinner. I am so lucky to have him.
Hello to our Thanksgiving turkey that was fried this year! (pictures are pre-fried)
Hello to the tooth fairy who came again this week!
Hello to decorating for Christmas (pants optional)
Hello to hunting to find the most perfect Christmas tree on a rather warm November day (at least for Iowa!). Hello to sunshine! Actually a little too much for my preference in taking photos. *Note to self – hunt for christmas tree later in the day to prevent direct sunlight and harsh shadows. Hello to my boys who wanted to cut down the tree themselves this year. Hello to our friends, the Peterson’s, who are always up for an adventure and lots of pictures!
Hello to writing letters to Santa. Gone are the days when kids (like me) had the toy section of the Sears Catalog to flip through to make a wish list to Santa. My kids use the internet (Amazon.com) to help make their lists!
Hello to ending the weekend at the movie theater seeing Frozen. (very good!)
Hello Monday! What are you saying Hello to this Monday?
