As for my 2013 Project Life Album… come back on Tuesday where I will be posting week 13 of 2013. You can see my past Project Life posts, here.
On to the blog hop!!
I am creating a project life style mini album with all of the baby pictures I took of Elizabeth. I instagrammed a ton of her, especially during those first few months and there is no way that I could create traditional layouts with all of these pictures. So the project life album is a perfect way for me to get them out of a box and into an album. Unfortunately though, at the time I wasn’t super good at keeping a calendar or journal with notes and details about every little part of her life. I found myself wishing that I had a print-out or log of all the notes that I wrote for each instagram photo because those are all great little details and snippits that I was missing.
I started searching around and found a website called allmytweets (http://www.allmytweets.net/). If you automatically post your instagrams to twitter simultaneously like I do, then you will be able to get all of those past notes, dates and little details for every single photo (up to the last 3200 tweets). You simply enter your twitter screen name and your tweets will all come up like this.
I printed them all out at a small font size so that I could fit a lot on each page in order to limit the total number of pages that would print. It was still a lot but SOOOO worth it to me to now have all of these that I can refer to. The next step for me was to match up the photos to the tweets/details which can be a little more tricky since you need the dates for the photos. But since my photos are all in IPhoto I can easily pull up the dates for the photos and then cross reference with the print out of “all my tweets.” Now I can use the photos AND the information that I wrote when I originally intstagrammed the pictures, which is making my project life album so much more meaningful!! I am even filling out a bunch of the cards ahead of time and filing them right in with the photos so that the actual putting together of the album will be quick and easy!
This tip came at a perfect time for me, as I am going to start working on my little Zooey’s baby Project Life. She is 2 now, so many of the details are seem foggy to me, these tips are going to help me so much! Thanks Maggie!
