Looking back through my iPhone pictures this week, I realize there are a lot of Miss Z. She seemed to be the focus around here because on Tuesday I decided that it was enough of the fevers with her and she needed to see the doctor. Turns out she had pneumonia and strep most likely due to influenza A. EEEEK! The flu had been going around her daycare. I really thought she would pull out of this, but the fever kept lingering and lingering. Poor girl. She is on a good dose of antibiotics now.
The picture below was before I took her to the doctor. Look at the grumpy face! Right after this picture she told me I was mean because I wouldn’t let her bring her toys into daycare. No tears, no screaming, no tantrum, just words. “You mean”. I guess I should be happy that she is expressing herself in words, right?
Not looking so sick here, right? That was the hard part…she would seem fine and then all the sudden crash and her fever would spike. Up and down…we did this for days. I kept thinking she would turn a corner, but she never did. Poor girl.
I have had a couple of frustrations with coffee this week. Seems odd that coffee could be such a high tension issue around here, but it has been. Issue #1: my coffee maker died. This is serious people!
At the doctor… look at those rosy cheeks.
On Tuesday I took the afternoon off work just to be with her. She slept on me for 3 hours. Sometimes a sick little girl just needs her Mama.
Wednesday Zooey was feeling better (thanks to antibiotics and TLC), but we kept her home another day. This time Daddy was in charge. It looks like they had a relaxing day!
We did have other things going on this week besides a sick Zooey and a dead coffee maker…. Like haircuts.
Ok, so my second coffee issue had something to do with work… I am not going to go into details but I am going to be bringing my own coffee to the office now. And to celebrate the moment – I purchased this cute new mug from Starbucks! Super cute, right?
I must really been into taking pictures of my drinks this week. At a meeting last night. I tried this drink, it was tasty.
And don’t forget about Ethan. He wanted to say “HI!”. Doesn’t he look super old in this picture??
And that my friends is my week according to my iPhone.
This weekend we are back to painting. My house torn apart is driving me nuts! MUST FINISH PROJECT! Wish us luck!
