Pictures taken with my iPhone (instagram app) this week:
I always know when Ethan has something very cool in his mind that he just has to make. He starts asking me questions. “Mom, do you have a hole punch?”, ”Mom, do you have any soft paper (felt)”. ”Mom, how can I get these pieces to stay together?” We go poke around my scrapbook corner of the basement until he finds something he can use and then he dashes upstairs to get to work. The kid is creative and I love it!
Tuesday I had a road trip for work. 6 hours in the car, 5 hours in a meeting. Throw in an hour lunch and good-bye 12 hours. It was cold and windy and I nearly ran out of gas because I thought I could make it to a certain stopping point before filling up, but it turns out that I couldn’t. Being stranded in the middle of February in a corn field in Iowa would not be fun. I am just thankful for Siri on my phone that lead me to some small town with a gas station. And I will remember to fill-up before I get on the road next time. (total gallons of gas I put in the car, 18.884 for a total of $69 and change. eeek!). Anyway – I was happy to get home to my family.
My in-laws stopped by my office on Wednesday to drop off my birthday present. Before you start sending me birthday wishes, just know that my birthday is in May! They found this cutie and couldn’t resist buying it. So happy early birthday to me! Now I can have coffee in my office and I don’t have to share with anyone!
Homework for the boys… Owen sorting his sight words and Ethan reading a book on the iPad.
Yesterday afternoon it started snowing! The last I checked we were at 10 inches and school is cancelled. Snow day? Don’t mind if I do!
I hope you have a great weekend!
